Forward Business Solutions is a Human Resources Consulting company that provides external support to businesses who need HR services. Currently, these services are provided directly by the founder of FBS, directly to the clients. However, as the business expands and new customers are acquired, the team of professionals will grow to ensure that FBS is able to provide professional and quality service to its clients. ​

The Business Development Executive's Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced sales executive for our team. The candidate will actively take ownership of our services, support business growth, and foster relationships with our clients. If you have a passion for sales, have excellent communication skills, and love working in an exciting, fast-paced, people-facing environment, you’ll be a perfect match for our team.  

 

The Business Development Executive will function as an independent contractor, will have full control of their schedule and may work remotely from any location. The Business Development Executive will work closely with the Business Consultant to understand the client's needs and to provide valuable, quality service options that will enhance the client's business operation

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively search for new business opportunities and identify important prospects through networking and research. You will be dealing with high-ticket clients such as CEOs, CFOs, finance directors, finance managers, and the like.

  • Bring in new clients for our organization while retaining the existing ones. You will act as the key point of contact for our clients.

  • Conduct interviews and sales presentations to prospective clients, negotiate contracts, and finalize sales deals.

  • Work with the team to maintain and boost the customer experience.

  • Attend industry events, networking events, and mixers to promote our services.

  • Dedicated a minimum of 10 to 20 hours per week actively pursuing potential clientele. 

 
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with demonstrable knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, research capabilities, negotiation skills, and essential analytical capabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma (minimum);

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field is preferred

  • You have at least three (3) years of experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in a B2B SaaS company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel and have your own vehicle.

Compensation: 

As an independent contractor, this position is a commission-only based sales position. This means that the BDE will receive a negotiated sales commission on each deal that he/she closes. As the business grows compensation structures may be re-evaluated to include a base rate. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

Due to the start-up nature of this company, this job is best suited for a sales professional who is looking for a flexible schedule, minimal supervision, and the opportunity to make a fair amount of substantive income. The more the BDE closes, the more compounded income they make. Candidates should not consider this job if they are relying heavily on a full-time salaried position to support their living needs - not yet at least! As the company grows, more benefits and compensation opportunities will arise. The ideal candidate is someone who is okay with part-time work and is interested in being part of a start-up business.
